Central Park Silent Cinema
Chippendale Green part of the Central Park complex provided a month-long outdoor cinema showcasing cult 1990’s movies. First up it was Alicia Silverstone in high school classic Clueless; then Heath Ledger’s Hollywood breakthrough comedy, 10 Things I Hate About You; Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock in high-octane action thriller Speed; and finally, Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in the Los Angeles fairy tale Pretty Woman.
The ticket price was only $10, and it entitled you to not only a movie session but also $10 towards food and beverage in the precinct.
